WHERE: On the Mall near Irving Avenue.
Each year, the Uptown Art Fair selects a charity to spotlight as a way of honoring a local non-profit. This year’s charitable partner is Intermedia Arts. As Minnesota’s premier multidisciplinary, multicultural arts center, Intermedia Arts has a mission to be a catalyst that builds understanding among people through art and focuses on the impact an artist or organization can have on a community.
Features: Stop by the Intermedia Arts Youth and Family Booth anytime throughout the fair and YOU can make your mark by contributing to a collaborative community mural. Using paint, stencils, block printing and brushes you will work with local artists to create an original large-scale mural. Paint now and check it out later on our Facebook page and LIVE in our gallery at Intermedia Arts.
Art Supply Drive: Support Intermedia Arts at locations throughout the fair to contribute art materials and/or a cash donation to further the important work Intermedia Arts completes in the community. In conjunction with the 50th year of the Uptown Art Fair, this year, Intermedia Arts Youth Programs aim to collect and distribute more than 500 art materials. Cash and check donations are also gratefully accepted.
